A singe can be a slight scorching, burn or procedure with flame. This may be because of a collision, for instance scorching a single's hair when lighting a fuel hearth, or perhaps a deliberate technique of treatment method or removal of hair or other fibres.
The procedure is often to pass just one or each side of a fabric more than a fuel flame to burn off off the protruding fibres. Other procedures include infra-pink or heat for thermoplastic fibers.
